Qi Gong
The Practice of Qi Gong
The inner circuit of Chi through the practice of internal breathing, through the practice of Tai Chi Chuan & Qi Gong.
In traditional Chinese medicine, the body is not just physical: it is a constantly moving energy field. Two of the most important channels that regulate this energy are Ren Mai (Vase of Conception) and Du Mai (Vase of Governor).
Ren Mai flows through the center of the body, from the perineum to the mouth, passing through the chest, abdomen, and throat. It is the mother of all Yin meridians: it regulates receptivity, inner nourishment, and calm. When we breathe consciously, we activate this silent river that softens the heart and stabilizes emotions.
Mai, on the other hand, rises along the spine and surrounds the head until it reaches the mouth. It is the mother of all Yang meridians: it concentrates willpower, protective energy, and vitality. Mobilizing this channel gives us presence, postural strength, and mental clarity.
When Ren Mai and Mai connect, the Microcosmic Circuit closes, an energetic flow that unifies heaven and earth within you. In Tai Chi Chuan & Qi Gong, each posture activates this circuit: the body becomes a bridge, the breath a river, and the mind a guide.
Practicing from this awareness isn't just about moving the body... it's about cultivating the spirit of the Shen being.
