Taï Chi Chuan

Tai Chi Chuan is one of the Chinese internal arts.

Both meditative and dynamic, it is an art of transformation that invites us to introspection and contemplation of our innermost being. It is practiced through a series of codified postures known as Taoist meditative sequences, known as "Kuien" (Tao "Dao").

This practice includes postural exercises, Qigong exercises, and more dynamic exercises, as well as partner work (Tui Chou, sticky hand, pushhands, etc.).

Absorbing energy in a circle, pushing back, and grasping, to better understand certain movements and structures in practice.

In external alchemy, both in the West and the East, a substance called the Philosopher's Stone and the Elixir of Immortality is sought. This material is believed to transform common metals such as lead into precious metals such as gold. It is also believed to have the ability to prolong life eternally.

Internal Qigong pursues the same quest, but uses processes internal to the body and mind. Dan elixir is cultivated internally through movement, breathing, and meditation to harmonize the Jing, Qi, and Shen.
